What we do
Here's just a few things that we do within our branch:
Our branch operates a neutering scheme for both feral and domestic cats to stop unwanted pregnancies. We issue these vouchers to help you with the expense of neutering your cat. If you are on certain benefits and use selected veterinary services, you can get a voucher from us. Certain terms and conditions apply - for any questions you need answering about neutering and vouchers, please ring 01282 693400
We are now covering the following areas for neutering vouchers:
Crawshawbooth, Dunnockshaw, Haslingden, Haslingden Grane, Helmshore, Love Clough, Newchurch, Rawtenstall, Water, Waterfoot.
Barnoldswick, Colne, Earby, Foulridge, Kelbrook, Laneshawbridge, Salterforth, Trawden, Winewall, Wycoller

Brierfield, Catlow, Haggate, Harle Syke, Holme Chapel, Hurstwood, Walk Mill, Worsthorne
Barley, Burnley, Fence, Higham, Newchurch, Padiham, Read, Simonstone, Wheatley Lane
Bacup, Brittania, Stackstead, Weir
As we do not have a cattery, we provide foster care by volunteers in their own homes. In this way, we get to know the cats/kittens in our care very well and can then match them to the right owners.
We also provide habilitation for sick, injured or abused cats and help teach them appropriate socialisation skills so that they can go on and lead a normal and happy life with their new owners.
We work in close partnership with our vets, who carry out thorough health checks on each cat/kitten that comes into our care. Our volunteers provide their own transport to help take our cats to and from the vets for flea/worming treatments, vaccinations and neutering.
Many volunteers help with fund raising events, such as manning stalls at events held throughout the year. We raise money by selling bric-a-brac, new goods, providing tombola/lucky dip stalls, attend car boot sales etc.
We are happy to collect any donations from the public. It does not always have to be money. You can donate in several different ways - you can knit blankets to keep our cats/kittens warm and snuggly, give us any unwanted birthday or Christmas presents + any good quality bric-a-brac items, clothing etc. Please note, we cannot take electrical goods or large pieces of furniture.
We aim to raise awareness on all aspects of cat care. By going into schools and other establishments, we can give talks on how to look after your cat and encourage responsible cat ownership for all concerned.
We advertise cats and kittens who need rehoming via our website, facebook and posters displayed in local establishments. If you want to adopt one of our cats or kittens (or if you can offer a suitable home for ferals), please ring 01282 693400.
